The "Watergate" Festival brings the legendary Seal to Pärnu
Back again after six year break, The "Watergate" Festival returns to Pärnu. At the festival Pärnu town will open the renovated Vallikäär (old town’s moat), which is the largest investment in recent years. This is the venue when on Saturday 18 June, the world-renowned English soul and R&B singer-songwriter Seal will be performing.
Throughout the ten days of the Water Festival, you can listen to amazing Estonian talents; from singing, to unknown bands which you will definitely want to hear again, see a reconstruction of an old Viking sea-battle and witness the beginning of the Summer, in the Estonian Summer Capital. And that is just a small list of what Watergate is offering on its’ welcome return.
In addition you can experience a ferry journey to a concert, eat the best fish that the Baltic Sea and Pärnu River can offer and walk in amazing parks and party on the beach.
This Saturday, we have the honour to present to you the Watergate Festival headliner, world-famous singer Seal.
In a career spanning two decades Seal is a recipient of BRIT, MTV and Grammy Awards. Known for his numerous international hits Seal is perhaps best known is for ‘Kiss from a Rose’ which appeared in the soundtrack to the 1995 Batman film Batman Forever and won him three Grammy Awards. He has sold over 15 million albums worldwide.
The World knows him for his unique voice and there have been fewer more successful in the music business.
The English soul and R&B singer-songwriter will be in Estonia to present his seventh studio album, ‘Commitment’, which was released on 20 September 2010 internationally and 28 September 2010 in the US. The first single "Secret" was released in August 2010 on iTunes U.S. and in the UK in September. This album was said to be inspired by his wife, Heidi Klum.
Seal's musical career began with the two hits (in collaboration with legendary producer Trevor Horn) - "Killer" (1990), and the U.S. top ten single, "Crazy" (1991) - soul, pop, rock, R & B fusion.
Albums: "There," 1991, "Seal II" 1994, "Human Being" 1998, "Seal IV, "2003, "System" 2007, "Soul, "2008, "There's Hits" 2009, "Commitment" on 2010 followed.
